Responsibilities

  • Interpret spoken and written medical information accurately and impartially between patients and healthcare providers.
  • Attend medical appointments, consultations, and procedures to provide real-time interpretation services.
  • Ensure confidentiality and professional ethics are maintained at all times in accordance with healthcare regulations.
  • Clarify and explain medical terminology and procedures to patients and healthcare teams as needed.
  • Assist in the translation of medical documents and patient education materials when required.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff to improve communication strategies and patient understanding.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology, healthcare policies, and interpreting best practices.
