[Remote] Credit Underwriter OE - B10 - Telecommuter
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Citi is a leading global bank, and they are seeking a Credit Underwriter OE to join their team. This role involves monitoring and assessing credit processes and data while applying specialty knowledge to ensure compliance with policies. The Credit Underwriter will review loan submissions, handle inquiries, and assess risks in business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Reviews loan submissions for credit judgment and credit worthiness, documentation, ability to pay calculations, loan to value calculations and other functions relating to the credit decision process of the field network
- Handles resubmissions on amended loan request, respond to phone inquiries regarding decisions made, policy questions and aid in training various visitors that come to Home Office Credit
- Approves subordination agreements
- Other duties as assigned
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency
Skills
- 0-2 years related experience
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience
