Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Representative on our part-time 2nd shift team, you'll be responsible for:

  • Greeting customers and providing exceptional service to ensure a positive shopping experience
  • Operating the register, handling cash and credit transactions, and making change
  • Making purchase suggestions and promoting products to customers
  • Working with our food program to provide customers with a seamless shopping experience
  • Maintaining a clean and organized store environment, both inside and out
  • Providing regular and predictable onsite attendance to ensure seamless operations
  • Interacting with customers daily, building relationships, and resolving any issues that may arise
  • Collaborating with a fun, energetic team to accomplish daily tasks and achieve sales goals
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes and suggesting solutions to enhance customer satisfaction and store efficiency

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues
  • A strong sales and customer service background, with experience in retail or a related field
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and priorities with ease
  • Physical stamina to stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours, lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds, and perform other physical demands of the role
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with a strong focus on customer service and sales

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications would be a plus:

  • Retail and customer service experience, with a proven track record of success
  • Sales associate or cashiering experience, with a strong understanding of sales techniques and customer engagement

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements

This role requires:

  • Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours
  • Lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds from ground to overhead up to 30 minutes in a shift
  • Occasionally lift and/or carry up to 60 pounds from ground to waist level
  • Push/pull with arms up to a force of 20 pounds
  • Bend at the waist with some twisting up to one hour a shift
  • Grasp, reach, and manipulate objects with hands, requiring eye-hand coordination and occasional ladder climbing
