Responsibilities
- Actively represent clients in courtroom hearings
- Argue cases before the Rhode Island Workers' Compensation Court
- Drafting motions
- Reviewing medical records
- Analyzing employment documentation to build a sound case strategy
- Regularly update clients on case developments
- Offer strategic advice
- Ensure clients remain informed and confident in representation
- Consulting with colleagues on complex claims
- Discussing legal updates and procedural best practices
- Manage caseload independently
- Meet filing deadlines
- Participate in negotiations
Skills
- J.D. and Rhode Island bar admission (in good standing)
- 1-5 years' experience in workers' compensation
- Strong courtroom presence and ability to handle hearings independently
- Exceptional time-management abilities and a proven capacity to adjust seamlessly to changing priorities
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Professional judgment and a commitment to high-quality client service
