Web & Application Development Specialist
CalPERS is the nation’s largest public pension fund, providing retirement and health benefits to public employees, retirees, and their families. They are seeking a Web & Application Development Specialist to join their Agile Development Team, focusing on developing enterprise applications and contributing to a dynamic team environment.
Responsibilities
- Function as a Web & Application Development Specialist within the Agile Development Team (ADT)
- Develop Enterprise Applications using modern frontend web frameworks (ReactJS, VueJS, etc.)
- Experience using backend technologies (node.js, PHP, Python, etc)
- Ship MVP products (within weeks)
- Create some awesome and easy to use apps for the enterprise and the general public
- Use the latest tools/frameworks
- Work well as a team
- Learn together as we deliver high quality apps
Skills
- Experience developing Enterprise Applications using modern frontend web frameworks (ReactJS, VueJS, etc.)
- Experience using backend technologies (node.js, PHP, Python, etc.)
- All experience and education relating to the Minimum Qualifications (MQs) listed on the Classification Specification should be included in your application package to clearly demonstrate how you meet the MQs for this position
- If you are using education to meet MQs, please include your transcripts with your application package
- If you have a degree from outside of the United States, you must submit an evaluation of this degree to determine the US equivalency
- You may need to pass an examination to establish list eligibility prior to a final offer of employment
