This position requires a secret clearance. Responsibilities: The Opportunity We’re looking for an experienced DevSecOps Engineer to support a critical U.S. Navy logistics program that’s transforming how the fleet tracks assets across the globe. You’ll own the security and automation layers of our platform—from hardening the CI/CD pipeline to building IaC templates, running security scans, and responding to real-world threats. This is a 100% remote role with limited travel. Experience supporting Navy software delivery or DoD ATOs is highly desirable.

What You'll Do

  • Build and secure CI/CD pipelines using Gitlab, Bitbucket, AWS CodePipeline, CodeDeploy, or similar tools.
  • Integrate vulnerability scanning, container scanning, and security gates into automated build workflows.
  • Deploy and support Kubernetes clusters using tools like Helm and Rancher.
  • Automate infrastructure using Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible.
  • Write scripts (Bash, Python, etc.) to support system automation and secure deployments.
  • Stand up monitoring and alerting using Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, or ELK.
  • Manage secrets, permissions, and identity integrations (SAML, OAuth2, OpenID).
  • Guide developers and platform teams on secure software design and deployment best practices.
  • Support RMF documentation, FedRAMP compliance, and ATO readiness activities.
  • Maintain disaster recovery and continuity plans; conduct periodic drills.
  • Research, test, and implement new security tools and techniques to stay ahead of evolving threats.

Qualifications: What We’re Looking For

  • Active Secret clearance or higher.
  • 3+ years of experience in DevSecOps, infrastructure automation, or platform engineering.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • Security+ or equivalent
  • Strong background in Linux and containerized environments.
  • Proficiency with Kubernetes and container orchestration engines (EKS, AKS, GKE, OpenShift).
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or similar IaC tools.
  • Familiarity with secure software development lifecycles and Agile practices.
  • 2+ years of experience writing code (C#, Python, or similar).
  • Deep understanding of version control, rollback strategies, and artifact promotion.
  • Experience integrating static and dynamic code scanning tools into build pipelines.

Bonus Points For:

  • AWS or Azure Associate certification.
  • Past involvement in FedRAMP, FISMA, or RMF ATO processes.
  • Previous support of U.S. Navy systems or logistics platforms.

Target salary range: $140,000.00 - $190,000.00. DISCLAIMER: Final compensation will be determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to your skills, experience, education, and/or certifications. Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
