Legal Counsel

Location requirements:Remote-based role. Open to candidates in Eastern Time Zones About the Role:We’re looking for a Legal Counsel to join BigPanda’s Legal team and support our General Counsel. This role will focus on privacy law, AI/ML regulatory issues, and SaaS commercial contracts while helping us scale an Enterprise Software company serving Fortune 5000 enterprises.The team is collaborative, fast-moving, and focused on ensuring BigPanda operates with legal and regulatory excellence as we grow globally. What you will do:

• Draft and negotiate SaaS and enterprise contracts
• Support GDPR compliance, privacy policies, and data protection agreements
• Analyze AI/ML regulatory developments and advise on compliance
• Manage contract lifecycle processes and vendor assessments
• Assist with corporate governance and general commercial legal matters

Required Skills:

• JD from an accredited law school with a strong academic record
• Licensed to practice in any US state or a qualified solicitor in England & Wales
• Minimum 1 year legal experience (law firm or in-house)
• Demonstrated GDPR compliance and privacy law experience
• Hands-on with DPAs, PIAs, and breach response
• Experience drafting privacy policies and managing regulatory compliance
• Strong understanding of SaaS contracts and commercial terms
• Familiarity with AI/ML legal and regulatory issues

Market competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range of $150,000 - 180,000. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location.
